Richard F –
I absolutely love my new Dr. Scholl’s Harrington ll work shoes. These are one of the most comfortable work shoes that I have ever purchased. The shoes are designed with extra thick soles and the inner shoe is lined with soft gel cushioning for comfort while walking. I recently started a new job as an Armed Security Officer that involves a lot of foot patrols. My feet were taking a beating until I decided to purchase my Dr. Scoll’s Harrington ll work shoes. If you’re a working man such as myself, then you should reward your feet like I did. You won’t regret it!

Gabriel –
Very comfortable work shoes. I’m on my feet 8-10 hours a day and my feet don’t hurt at the end of the day like they would with other shoes.

This is the second pair of the Harrington II for my husband who has a very wide and small foot, a size 7. This Dr. Scholl’s shoe is one of the few styles he can comfortably wear all day and actually helps with his fasciitis. He is retired, but this shoe is a very attractive casual shoe that is great for walking or standing for long periods of time. Offers wonderful support and is very well made.

Great shoe for people who stand all day. My husband loves these shoes.

Bought these for my son who is a hotel bellman. Good, basic, supportive shoe. He got one small foot blister but it might of just been a ‘new shoe’ issue. Overall, nocomplaints.
Jeff –
They’re work shoes, not stylish, but they are comfortable and durable. I’ve bought these for years. Never been disappointed.

A little heavy, but comfortable and good fit
Renee –
These are VERY comfortable for work. With a wide foot it is hard to find comfortable work shoes that can stand up to a whole day.

Never knew Dr. Scholl’s made shoes until a colleague told me. Very happy with my purchase, at first and just as much after a week or so of heavy usage. Cushioning holds up after a long day of being on your feet with little if any time sitting down. Soles are a bit thick for my taste on the style front, so they kind of say, “special shoes.” Having said that, of the choices I saw, this was the most stylish choice among those that are slip and oil resistant.

Laces showing bad wear after 5 days! Shoes do fit well, good traction sole. I think the laces are supplied by an outside supplier to the manufacturer. Lower quality laces. Shoes OK.

I have bought 3 pairs of Harrington blacks, and unfortunately, the newest pair has a different outsole that is significantly less comfortable. The easiest way to tell if its the old design or the new design, is that the old design had yellow parts on the outsole and the new design is only black. Additionally the new design can be described a a grid of squares. I have attached a photo of the two designs.
I do a lot of squatting at my job and end up putting my weight onto the “ball” section of my feet, and the new pair manages to be less comfortable them the worn out old pair that I replaced.
What is perhaps most infuriating about this is that the new design and old design are the same product. I have the box from the old pair and it has the same UPC and model number as the box from the new pair. What this means is that when I was looking for a new pair, I had to open every box and check the bottoms because there are still some pairs out there on the shelves that have the good design. Unfortunately all of them were in sizes that were way too big.
My only complaint about the old design is that the laces have a tendency to wear out before the soles do.

I have bought and worn these for several years now, because of the comfort and durability. The new soles that are being used however will force me to find another brand and type of shoe. With little wear, the soles are falling apart. Never had this problem with the old style soles. It seems they have taken a good quality shoe, and tried to cut corners and costs in production.

Fit – especially width – was very good. Took one step and back in the box they went. As the shoe flexed the additional stiffener around the toe bent to pinch my smallest toe. Every single step.

I have been purchasing this model of shoe for many years now. Like others, I have noticed the newer models getting smaller, but I thought I would try again. I ordered 9 wide, as I have always done. The shoes I received were so small, I could not get a shoe tree in them. Unfortunately, I had foolishly worn them outside, so gave them away.
Then I ordered a 9.5 wide and these were also very tight. Wasn’t I surprised when I held the shoe against the size 9 wide I am currently wearing and saw that they are almost exactly the same, both length and width. The difference is that the heel on the new shoe is smaller, making it much less absorbent of shock when walking.
Dr. Scholl’s was once a respected name. I cannot imagine how you let this happen.

Most comfortable shoe ever. This is my second pair of this shoe. My first pair is now designated “yard work ready” after 9 years of great service and great looking. That pair has been to many states, many business endeavors and many happy times. They are my feet’s best friend and I’m not done with them yet. The new pair is exactly what I wanted comfortable and classic looking.

I have bought and worn this shoe several years now for the comfort and durability Dr. Scholl’s is known for. The “new” soles that are being used however are not same quality and the soles are falling off after only wearing them 7-8 times. I was really hoping they would last but I am very disappointed in the quality of them.
Apparently this is a problem or defect in the shoes, I am forced to find another brand that does not fall apart.
These shoes are supposed to be tested for their performance, durability, and meet or exceed quality standards.
PERFORMANCE TESTED: In independent lab testing, our shoes beat industry average for comfort and cushioning. Oil-resistant, slip-resistant Lock Step Outsole meets SATRA TM63 and TM144 standards. Passed additional surface testing for vinyl tile and eurotile.

Great shoes!
But I think you need to upgrade the souls to last longer.
I do a lot of walking.

I buy these as my primary work shoe, great when I am on my feet and great for when I’m at my desk and in office mode
